Darin Lyons is the founder and CEO of Empire Elite Financial Solutions and Empire Core Technologies. Raised by military parents, he learned the values of determination, strength and discipline at an early age. Those values led him to serve six years in the United States Marine Corps, an experience that helped shape the leader, mentor and businessman he is today.

Throughout his journey in the tax industry, Darin has built his reputation around more than preparing returns. His passion is developing people, creating leaders and helping others recognize what is possible when they combine the right mindset, belief system and blueprint with consistent action.

Through Empire Elite Financial Solutions and Empire Core Technologies, Darin focuses on tax preparation, tax planning, training, mentorship, technology and creating real business opportunities for tax professionals and entrepreneurs. Everything he builds is grounded in the core values of Integrity, Honor and Respect, with one goal in mind: helping people grow, lead and become the best version of themselves.

Do I need experience to join?

The START PTIN Partner path is designed for newer tax professionals and includes training, mentorship and team support.

How do I qualify for Elite?

Elite PTIN Partner requires at least 2 years of tax preparation experience and at least 50 clients or returns from the previous tax season, and carries the 80/20 partner split.

What is the ERO Software price?

ERO Software through Empire Core Technologies is $499. Qualified EROs with 50 or more verified successfully funded clients can have the software fee waived, subject to verification and the applicable agreement.

Do I need my own EFIN for ERO Software?

Yes. The ERO Software path is designed for EROs operating with their own EFIN.

What is the Service Bureau path?

The Service Bureau path is for tax business owners ready to build and support an ERO network with software, infrastructure, training and business-growth support.

Can I work from anywhere?

The program structure is designed to support remote tax professionals and business owners, subject to applicable tax, EFIN, licensing, security and compliance requirements.

Is ongoing support included?

Support varies by path, but training, mentorship, compliance resources, technology support and business-growth guidance are central parts of the Empire ecosystem.
